About
"mian" (pronounced very much like "main") is the pronunciation for a Chinese character that means "flour" or "dough". It also means "face" in modern chinese because it is merged with another character of the same pronunciation but different meaning. The character appears in many words that are somehow connected to flour, especially in food names. For example we call bread "mian bao" and noodles "mian tiao".
Actually I name this site after a food named "mian wo" which is shaped like donuts but is flavored salty instead of sweet. The reason I use it as my site name is obviously because I like it very much. And more importantly, this unique food can be considered as a symbol of my hometown Wuhan, Hubei province, for it can only be found in that city.
This site contains my works, homemade projects and experiments with drupal CMS. Hope you find it useful and enjoy your stay!
